What started as a celebratory and highly anticipated night ended with Gulf Breeze’s sideline irritation and jeering from home fans.
After 80 minutes of good play on the pitch, the match between the two best women’s football teams in the province ended in a controversial result.
South Walton ruined the Dolphins’ senior night by converting a penalty kick on the final play of the game. The final score on Wednesday was at Dolphin Stadium where he was 2-1.

The Dolphin players were frustrated and expressed their displeasure with officials when they left the field Wednesday night. Seeing the spread of domination come to a bitter end was a difficult pill to swallow.

The Dolphins’ record has dropped to 10-2-1 this season.
