Ahead of tonight’s showdown between Chris Eubank Jr. and Liam Smith at the Manchester Arena, we asked the boxing experts for their predictions. sky sports box office.

I got Eubank’s victory. Liam Smith is a good, solid, well-rounded pro. He is a top amateur, ABA title holder and comes from a boxing family. He’s been a professional for over 12 years now, lives life, works hard, has been in big fights, and is a former world champion, but gives a lot of size against Eubank.

Eubank lost to me. He lost his split to Billy Joe Saunders, but it could have gone either way. So he’s not in a losing company, and he doesn’t have a losing mindset.

If he’s mean and punches with volume, he might even be able to stop Liam Smith, who was apparently stopped by pound-for-pound fighter Canelo Alvarez. But he can get hurt. He can injure himself. If Eubank aimed at his body, I think he might stop him.

Amir Khan

I once trained with Liam Smith. He is a hard worker and trains very hard. He’s a tough fighter, especially when he launches that attack on you. He has great pressure, throws some great shots, and hits very hard. Liam won the battle.

A lot of people would have preferred a younger fighter from Chris Eubank Jr., but I feel that experience comes at a cost.

I’m pretty on the fence, it’s one of those fights. Eubank, you get close and he’s got a wave of punches and he can keep it going the whole fight.

Liam Smith is a tough guy, but he has to come in and take a shot. He’s also faced some great fighters.

I’m very curious, but I can’t say it myself. I don’t think it will go very far – it’s going to be exciting.

David Hay

Not only does he have to win it, he has to win it looking good. If he wanted to send a message to the rest of the division, middleweight, super-middleweight, he said, ‘I’m the man in this division.

It’s a great fight and I’m back and forth. One day I think Liam will win, the next day I think Chris will win.

Eubank is very good when you step into his range. He can punch all day long. When you’re in that mixer with him, to that extent, he doesn’t stop punching.

Liam is more than just a basic forward-type fighter. There is a lot of technique and skill in what he does.

It’s really hard to pick a clear winner. Knowing both doesn’t mean one wins.

Liam Williams

I have a feeling Smith will win this fight. The interesting thing is that Smith doesn’t like to step back. Eubank is not someone to be bullied. he has that mindset. His way of thinking seems invincible. He’s mentally strong, so he’s not invincible.

Both are very strong mentally. I don’t want to be bullied or pushed back. So I think it will be a heated battle.

It’s a very even battle. But Smith has a little too much work-rate, and he might just be nicknamed the card.

Johnny Nelson

I go to Chris Eubank Jr. to win. I think I changed my mind this week. Perhaps the most boxing talent is Liam Smith. Timing is everything. He’s not what he used to be, but now he beats most fighters in Europe.

This timing could be right for Chris with his fitness, size and engine. So he makes up for his lack of boxing ability compared to Liam. He’s a good fighter, not a bad boxer, but he’s a better fighter than a boxer.

So I think it’s all about size and timing.

Fraser Clark

My guess is Liam Smith. I just have a smith edging it. You can see close combat. We don’t know which way it will fall, but we can already see Smith-Eubank 2 in the summer.

Eubanks are as tough as old boots. He’s a fighter at heart. He got it when he was tough and in the trenches. I think one of the things he might struggle with is that he doesn’t have that much experience. It’s all about IQ and who can box the best.
