Chris Eubank JR may appeal after loss to Liam Smith after the winner allegedly used his elbow during the match.
Eubank Jr. was stopped by his fierce rival in the fourth round of Saturday’s clash.
However, his team reportedly believes Smith may have used his elbow in the first of Eubank Jr’s two knockdowns.
And they are now considering appealing to the British Boxing Control Board.
Wasserman Boxing’s Kalle Sauerland told Sky Sports:
Meanwhile, Eubank Jr.’s trainer Roy Jones Jr. wrote on Instagram: “Avoid Roy Jones Jr. as a trainer! Please avoid
“Damn it, if you can take that away from a martial artist through training, then it’s no wonder I’ve raised you so much!!”
Regarding the rematch, Sauerland added:
“We have a few weeks to put it into effect. We’ll have internal discussions to see what’s best for Juniors and go from there.”
Before the game started, Eubank Jr. admitted he was concerned about Smith’s possible elbow injury.

He said in The Gloves Are Off:
“And when things get tough, they look for loopholes and ways they shouldn’t use.”
Smith replied:
After the fight, Eubank Jr. claimed he was still the better boxer.
He said: “I was in control of the fight, but I got caught. In my heart, I’m still a better fighter.”
“Of course, I’m not going to argue much after losing, but I do argue to prove that I’m a better fighter.
“He caught me in a once-in-a-lifetime shot. I feel like I was in control of the fight before it happened.
“Liam came back at me and threw more punches. I slipped and the referee stopped me.”
