Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson has earned nearly $50 million in his NFL career.

The former Cincinnati Bengal regularly bought fake jewelry and skipped commercials to save money while in the NFL.

“Flying private? I’m not flying private,” he said on Shannon Sharp’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast. Enough, as long as you go from point A to point B. You don’t need private.”

Ochocinco was widely regarded as one of the best receivers in the game when he was playing. His masterful play combined with his antics made him a household name.

So he didn’t get hung up on over-buying.

“If you can get to a point in your career where your name is bigger than anything you can buy, then you’re worth it,” Johnson said.

“When I was playing, I never bought the real thing. Never. What was the point? I went to Claire’s house. For what? I What are you doing it for? Other women who really do their homework googled how much you already earn. are you going to buy a watch?

“Everybody gets stuck in an image and has a certain way of looking at it and getting rich. That’s me. It’s pointless,” he added. Do you know how difficult it is?”

Overall, he estimates he saved 83% of his income through frugal spending.

Johnson is well known for giving four-figure tips for quick meals at drive-in food joints.
