The Cavaliers are returning home after a five-city road trip across the country. They finished the expedition with 2 wins and 3 losses. The Suns and Trail Blazers won, but lost to the Nuggets, Jazz and Timberwolves.
One thing that has plagued Cleveland all season is that they can’t win on the road. That’s certainly an area they’ve struggled with. They went through a stretch in November, losing 6 of 8 games away from Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse.
After this final trip, the Cavaliers have a record of 9-13 away games. If you have a record below .500, there is always room for improvement. However, this load record isn’t bad compared to the rest of the NBA.
Only a handful of teams in the league are above .500. Those teams are the Celtics, Nets, Knicks, Grizzlies, and Nuggets. Second, he only has three .500 teams.
With that in mind, Cleveland’s 9-13 is on par with the rest of the NBA.
Again, not having a winning record is never a good thing. But when the Cavs load his record compared to other players in the NBA, it shows that he’s still in a decent position in this area. It’s frustrating that some of the games they lost away were very winnable.
Cleveland has plenty of season left to improve their record before the playoffs start.
