Well, Wednesday made quite the shock.

Considered by many to be the best team in the North Bay League, the Windsor Girls Football upset the Newman Cardinals 2-1 at home in the team’s NBL Oak opener. The Cardinals led 2–0 in the second half before the Jaguars returned his one run.

However, with three minutes remaining they continued to threaten, so it was all Newman for the entire contest. With the Cardinals currently 1-0 in the league, he’s 8-0 overall and still undefeated. The Jaguars he’s 6-1, 0-1.

The Cardinals were scored by Eric McDonnell (115 lbs), Jonah Bertoli (172 lbs) and Anthony Veradao (184 lbs).

In Healdsburg, the Windsor beat the Greyhounds 52-12. The Jaguars, led by Braidan Cleaver, defeated Healdsburg’s Alex Diaz by majority vote at £126.

Maria Carrillo beat Elsie Allen 60-22 in six straight falls from 160 to 285 pounds. Of the 14 games, 11 ended in falls.

Montgomery also beat Annalee by a score of 57-21 on Wednesday for a league record of 2-0. The Montgomery women also improved to 2-0 with her winning 42-0.
