Cabrini followed that script.
The Crescent extended their fifth straight victory in Kenner on Wednesday with a 2-1 victory over the Kenner Discovery in the Division 7-III game.
Cabrini took a 1-0 lead at half-time as Hannah Rose scored a Brenna Marione corner kick.
Crescent scored the game-winning goal on Kenner Discovery’s own goal to make it 2–0 off another corner kick from Marione.
The Swamp Owls scored a late goal with a rebound from a direct free kick, but it wasn’t enough.
Cabrini (8-6, 4-0) will challenge Archbishop Hannan for the district title on Thursday.
Kenner Discovery (11-10-1, 1-4) will host Riverside Academy on Friday.
