On Thursday, January 19, both the Wildcats and Lady Cats football teams will begin their final tournaments of the 2022-23 season. Powerlifting will also be held on Thursday Gameday.

Coach Adriana Brena and women’s soccer will return to Longview for the final tournament for the second week in a row. This weekend she will be playing at the 2023 Longview Robo Showcase.

All three Sulfur Springs games are played at Lobo Stadium in Longview.

The Lady Cats’ first game will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Lobo Stadium against former district foe Texas High. Sulfur Springs were originally scheduled to play the Lady Tigers last Tuesday, but the game was ultimately canceled after changes such as national team only.

Longview’s second leg of women’s football continues until Friday, when the Lady Cats face Kilgore at 5pm

Lady Bulldog is ranked 16th in 4A Region II as of Wednesday, according to Lethal Enforcer.

On Saturday, January 21st, at 3:00 pm, Coach Brenna’s team will face Sabine in the final tournament.

Sulfur Springs are 4-3 this season and remain undefeated at the 2023 Pine Tree Lady Pirates Showcase.

Wildcats Soccer will also begin its final tournament on Thursday, January 19, heading to Terrell.

Coach Alexi Upton and his team will take on hosts Terrell on Thursday at 6:30 p.m.

The Sulfur Springs coach said the Tigers should give his Wildcats a good challenge after his team’s victory over Henderson on Tuesday.

After facing Terrell, the men’s football next match will take place on Friday 20 January at 12:30pm at 5A Sunnyvale.

The Wildcats’ final opponent will be when Coach Upton’s team faces Waxahachie Life on Saturday at 9:30 am.

Sulfur Springs are 5-4-1 after a 1-0 win at home to Henderson on Tuesday. In men’s football he has lost 2–0 in 3 innings of 10 games, while in his other 7 games the Wildcats have won 1 or drawn 1 and he has allowed only 1 goal.
