Top Rank promoter Bob Arum gave an update on where Naoya Inoue vs. Stephen Fulton Jr. and Devin Haney vs. Vasily Lomachenko are currently in talks last weekend, and his latest on Top Rank. Thought somewhat surprisingly parted ways with Edgar Berlanga.

Arum spoke to iD Boxing about these topics, plus the latest delays in Fury vs Usyk, Shakur Stevenson, Taylor vs Catterall 2, and Mikaela Mayer’s move to the looming 135.

Inoue vs Fulton standing position

“I don’t think anyone can beat Inoue. ‘The Monster’ is ‘The Monster’ and there is a reason why he is ‘The Monster’. I am truly blessed to have three of the hardest punchers in boxing: Inoue, Beterbiev and Tyson Fury pound for pound. ”

“All of that business will be handled by our partners in Japan. They’ll let us know when it’s all put together, which I’m sure will happen. I think it’s April they’re talking about. .”

Haney vs Lomachenko

“We are aiming for the end of May and have decided on the best sites. We hope to have an announcement within a week.”

Farewell to Edgar Berlanga at Top Rank

“We had different philosophies and I didn’t want to hold him back. He was determined to go at a pace we didn’t think he was ready for and his mindset was He’s a good young man and his father is a good man, but we have different philosophies about where he’s going.”
