The New York Knicks need help with their offensive stat sheet. Bojan Bogdanovic likely wants to rebuild the Detroit Pistons.
Mutual aid may be on the horizon.
A new idea from the NBA Analysis Network sends Bogdanovic back to New York. The proposed trade is for the Knicks to acquire the former Brooklyn Nets in exchange for Evan Fournier and a protected Top 10 pick from the Dallas Mavericks. Bogdanovic is one of the few brands to be consistent in the disastrous Pistons (13-38), currently owning his second-highest odds of getting his pick in the top draft of the lottery this year. It’s one.
Bogdanovic, who will turn 34 in April, is having one of the best seasons of his career. His 21.2 scoring average is by far the best among the active Pistons and also his career high. His field goal percentage (.483) is his highest since 2018-19 at Indiana, sinking nearly 88% of his free throws.
The Knicks’ scoring (114.3 per game) is good enough, with three players (Julius Randle, Jalen Brunson and RJ Barrett) averaging 20 or more. But beyond his five in the starting lineup, the Knicks are struggling to keep pace, with Immanuel his only Quickly looking consistent bench his point. The Reserve’s lack of consistency is likely not helped by names that come and go in the lineup, with Fournier at the forefront of that group. Came back only because of injury.
Bogdanovic will be a strong addition, especially given the Knicks’ struggles in high-scoring games against elite competitors. It can be a bit flaky on , but it’s unlikely to make the top 10. Eastern He’s the type of player that guarantees a placement for the Knicks in the top six of the conference.
New York will see the Los Angeles Lakers visit Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night (7:30 p.m. ET, TNT).
