ORLANDO – Monday’s 21-point comeback against the Philadelphia 76ers is one of several big recent wins for the Orlando Magic.
And the world of the NBA is watching.
Orlando entered the Wells Fargo Center and recovered from a first-half hole to not only record the 76ers’ seven-game winning streak, but also add to an impressive list of recent victories.
After their win on January 23, they defeated the Boston Celtics to win the season series, and defeated the Golden State Warriors in both games, both of which advanced to the NBA Finals a season earlier.
“I can play anyone, I can beat anyone,” said Paolo Banchero. “We are a very good team. We have to learn how to make this effort every night.
“Whoever you are, you have to be able to use this game for the next game.”
The win snapped a mild two-game skid, including Saturday’s home loss to the Chicago Bulls, in which the team similarly fell behind early but was unable to complete a comeback.
“It shows what they can do,” Jamal Mosley said. “And it comes back to understanding belief systems and how you need to play on a consistent basis.
“The idea that every time you step on the floor, you have to have a belief system about who you are and the work you’ve done.
Magic and 76ers return to action tomorrow night at 7pm
