Duke Basketball Threatens NBA All-Star Program Record

Duke’s basketball talents are unlikely to make him one of only two NBA All-Star Game captains to draft a team named after them. It will go to either Antetokounmpo or Kevin Durant.

But a group of the NBA’s Blue Devils are playing with the show’s records.

The 2021 NBA All-Star Game featured a record number of Blue Devils in Jason Tatum, Kyrie Irving and Zion Williamson. All three were starters and had the most finishes from any program in the same year. However, Kentucky (2018) and UCLA (1983) hold another record of four former players becoming All-Stars at once.
