When I check out, I won’t be able to see myself in the mirror

Giants receiver Kenny Goladay complained about his lack of playing time earlier this season. Now he is a quiet contributor who has accepted his role.

He was first approached in Week 2 when he was benched, but since then Golladay has quietly done his job, doing whatever the Giants asked him to do. It could have gotten ugly. It wasn’t.

“I take pride in what I do when it comes to checkout,” said Goladay. “I can’t look myself in the mirror to check out. I have so many football games left. Last name on my back, I’m proud of it. In short, it’s like that. Then [it’s for] These guys are in the locker room.

With only $4.5 million in bond left on Golladay’s contract, his time with the Giants is coming to an end. If it weren’t for the $17.5 million bond he had this year, it would have already been over.
