Each year, MLB Network ranks the top players at each position and places them in a Top 10 list. It’s fun to see the different lists from analysts and the reasons as to why they put that player there.

Listings are fun, especially during the off-season. With no baseball going on, fans can discuss, but more importantly, talk about baseball.

This list is solid, especially since it’s a fan-voted list. However, it can be argued that Christian Walker is also there.

However, it cannot be argued that Paul Goldschmidt is not high on this list. He is ending his year winning his MVP award in the National League. He led all baseball in slugging, OPS and OPS+.

“It’s a great list. You could flip-flop Goldschmidt and Freeman, but those guys are the best,” one fan explained.

Obviously, whatever the fans vote for becomes a popularity contest.You can’t expect fans to think logically about their favorite teams and players.

Some fans claim that Anthony Rizzo ranks too high, but he plays for the New York Yankees, which makes him very popular. MLB excels in talent levels across the board

I have never seen this level of talent in baseball. Most starters sit in his high 90s, sweeping off-speed stuff. Hitters are hitting the ball harder and farther than ever before. All of the fielders have big arms and just keep moving in this direction.

Games were never as exciting as they are now. This is especially true when we see new rule changes coming into play next season. No pitch timers, bigger bases, and defensive shifts. Games are sped up, safer for players, and infielders are able to play better.

The 2023 MLB season could be one of the most competitive and exciting ever. There are many teams out there who are capable enough to win the World Series.
