After a super wild card weekend that lives up to its name, we have a divisional round scheduled for next weekend.
The Cowboys were the last team to score a ticket to the divisional round, and they did so by destroying the Buccaneers on Monday night. , and will face the 49ers, who were eliminated in the playoffs last season.
In other NFC games, the Giants travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles team, who have already won twice this year. It will be the first time since his NFC Central in 1997 that the Giants, Cowboys and Eagles have all advanced to the divisional rounds. One division sent 3 teams to the second round.
In the AFC, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will play their first game of the postseason against the Jaguars on Saturday. The AFC’s heavyweight bout takes place on Sunday when the Bills host the Bengals. The two teams were scheduled to meet in Week 17, but the match was canceled after Dummer Hamlin went into cardiac arrest in the first quarter after a horrific incident.

- (2) Bills 34-31 over (7) Dolphins. The Dolphins entered the game as the biggest underdog in the history of the Wildcard round (+14) and were able to give the Bills a big scare despite their odds. Ultimately, the Bills stave off the upset thanks to Joshua Allen (352 passing yards, 3 touchdowns) and a defense that produced multiple big plays for him, including two turnovers, four sacks and four down stops. The Ravens had Cincinnati on the ropes for most of this game, but the Bengals managed to pull off a win thanks to a defense that came up with one of the greatest plays in NFL postseason history. At the Cincinnati 1-yard line, Tyler Huntley fumbled and Sam Hubbard returned the fumble 98 yards for the eventual game-winning touchdown.
Monday 16th January
- (5) Cowboys 31-14 vs. (4) Buccaneers. The Cowboys dominated this game from start to finish. A big reason it happened was because of Dak Prescott, who had a big night historically. His QB for the Cowboys set a franchise record with 5 total touchdowns (4 passing, 1 rushing) and threw for 305 yards. The only Cowboys player to struggle in this game was kicker Brett Maher, who missed his NFL-record four extra points. The Cowboys must decide whether they want to keep him for Sunday’s game in San Francisco.

Saturday, January 21st
- (4) Jaguars at (1) Chiefs (-8.5), 4:30 pm ET (NBC). After a week off, the Chiefs will start the postseason with a game against the Jaguars team they actually played in earlier this season. Back in Week 10, the Chiefs beat the Jaggs 27-17 before Kansas City led him 20-0.
- (6) Giants (1) Eagles (-7.5) at 8:15 PM ET (Fox). These two division rivals will face each other for the third time this season, and the Giants hope this game will be different than the first two Philadelphia won. It is the 25th time in NFL history that a team has swept division rivals in the regular season and met again in the playoffs.
