Shootings erupted at an Oklahoma City-area high school after a basketball game on Tuesday night, with game commentators hiding and fans running around.

At least one man was shot and taken to hospital, officials told CNN affiliate KOCO.

“After a men’s basketball game against Millwood High School, a brawl broke out inside the fieldhouse and gunshots were fired,” Dell City High School principal Steve Gilliland said on the school’s website. are investigating the incident.”

During the Millwood Falcons Sports livestream, gunshots could be heard in the gymnasium as people gathered on the court after the game was a 62-58 victory over Dell City and the announcers commented on the matchup.

Officials told KOCO that shots were fired inside and outside the field base.

“There were at least 500 people here, maybe more,” Dell City Police Capt. Brad Cowden told the station. “The game had just ended when this incident happened.”

No information was available on the condition of the wounded or whether he was associated with the school.

The principal said the school will transition to a virtual learning day on Wednesday.
