S.Saturday night’s NFL playoff game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Los Angeles Chargers was timeless. The Jaguars accomplished one of his greatest comebacks in NFL history, overcoming a 27β0 deficit and winning the game with his goal in the final out of the second field by kicker Riley Patterson.
Prior to the kick, Patterson pulled out the cross he was wearing around his neck and kissed him. After his triumphant boot, while celebrating, Patterson held up a cross that appeared to be his way of giving thanks to God. It seemed far from where it was.
Prayer Makes a Spectacular NFL Comeback
Based on the sequence of events and the many cameras that refused to show Patterson holding the cross, it appeared that this was done on purpose. For those who saw Kick live, it’s a foregone conclusion. The whole incident came to light when he trended on Twitter on Saturday night, many people are aware that NBC Cutaway As soon as Patterson lifted the cross,
This was in stark contrast to a few years ago when network cameras focused intensely on NFL players kneeling for the national anthem. NBC had every chance to show Patterson, but every time they tried to cut at him after a kick, he was holding up a cross.
Sadly, these anti-religious and anti-Christian tactics are becoming all too common in our country. Television has no problem with men wearing clothes to show that they are women or couples participating in sexually suggestive behavior. But showing athletes thanking the Lord on TV is overkill.
Riley Patterson isn’t getting any love from NBC. There are no interviews for his Clutch FG. I think it was because he pulled out his cross and gave credit to God. They didn’t show it on camera. #NFL Playoffs #jaguars

It’s a sad reflection of our current society. The cultural elite of the media and their accomplices do everything in their power to silence positive displays of Christianity. No other religion is more resistant to this kind of attack (especially subliminal attacks like this one) than Christianity. Patterson’s celebration should have received the same attention and coverage on NBC as an NFL player protesting “social justice.”
What’s really gripping about Riley Patterson’s game-winning field goal is that he immediately reaches for the cross to give all the glory to God.
It’s sad that the cameras were dodged to avoid that moment from happening.

Patterson’s enthusiasm for celebrating Christianity was just the latest cultural disrespect by the Left. Given their desire to rid our society of the nation’s Christian foundations and the Judeo-Christian principles of its founding, he is not the last. We must resist the attacks of the Left and resist this shift away from God.
Because despite the best efforts of the Left, the United States is not a godless nation. Now it’s up to Christians to make sure it never becomes one.
