Women’s soccer welcomes three rookies in spring

Harrisonburg, Virginia – James Madison women’s soccer head coach Joshua Walters Sr. announced the addition of a freshman to the team and two transfers this spring to build on the program’s success from its first run at the Sun Belt Conference.

Shay Collins joined the team from La Salle and Brooke Potter from Wake Forest. Mia Tuca enters school one semester early as a freshman.

“We are thrilled to welcome three incredible young women to the JMU football family,” said Walters. It just adds to the culture and play that’s coming this spring is great timing because we get to learn who we are, what we care about and how we make games am.”

Career highlights: Played 4 games with Wake Forest…Won 3A Region Player of the Year twice in high school, won 3A Region Champion twice in senior season, won Class 3 State Championship…Scored a total of 68 goals and 33 Record assists in two high school seasons… Playing club ball for FC Virginia (2018-2021) and Virginia Development Academy (2021-2022)
