Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson’s expiring contract has exacerbated a knee injury that has seen him miss the past six games, including yesterday’s 24-17 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
As the offseason begins, the Ravens are looking for answers on what to do with their franchise quarterback. Twitter rumors suggest the Ravens will likely tag Jackson as a franchise tag and then trade him.
The New York Jets will be “at the forefront” for Jackson, according to NFL Network.
When asked to confirm the report, Benjamin Albright said the report was “truth”.
Quarterbacks are a big problem for the Falcons. Atlanta signed Marcus Mariota last offseason to replace Matt Ryan. However, after 13 games, they decided to bench Mariota instead in favor of rookie third-round pick Desmond Ridder.
Ridder didn’t “set the world on fire” in four starts, finishing 2-2 as a starter, but he gave the Falcons no reason to exclude him from job contention next fall .
But how can you pass up an opportunity to acquire the franchise’s signal-caller if Jackson becomes available?
Ball is on the Ravens’ court after failing to reach an agreement with Jackson on a contract extension.
