Former boxing world champion Tony Bellew doesn’t believe Francis Ngannou has a great chance, even if he shares the ring with Tyson Fury.

Ngannou, the reigning UFC heavyweight champion, is now a free agent. Negotiations with the UFC fell through and the UFC Heavyweight Championship is currently vacant. Cyril Gaine and Jon Jones will clash to determine the new heavyweight kingpin at UFC 285 on March 4.

Ariel Helwani recently created a poll asking fans what it means to Ngannou outside of the UFC. Venturing into the world of boxing was an option. chime in.

“A terrible shame! He cannot survive against someone notable in the boxing ring..he is the best MMA heavyweight in the world right now and he needs to stay in his discipline..”

Last year, Ngannou said on his YouTube channel that he didn’t care about the rules, he just wanted to dabble with “The Gypsy King.”

“I don’t really care what [it] right. I think it will be a fight with Tyson Fury. It can be a phone booth or anywhere. [but] Either that fight happens, or (even) on the rooftop – that fight happens. It can’t happen. he will be killed!

Ngannou is recovering from MCL and ACL injuries after successfully defending the UFC Heavyweight Championship against Gane in early 2022.
