The Adelanto boys’ soccer team topped the Desert Sky League standings with a 3-0 win over Silverado on Friday night.
The Saints entered the contest tied with Victor Valley in the league standings. However, Victor his Valley lost his 1–0 to Granite Hills, with Adelanto moving up the order.
Three players scored for Adelanto in 12 minutes.
David Barajas scored in the 18th minute to put the Saints on the board.
Humberto Gonzalez doubled the lead in the 27th minute and scored with an assist from Fernando Orozco.
Damian Espinosa scored the team’s final goal after three minutes to give Adelanto a commanding 3-0 lead with ten minutes remaining.
The Saints had 13 shots on goal, including eight from Espinosa.
In goal, Jesús Bobadilla made one save to record a shutout.
The Saints (13-8-1, 3-0 DSL) will take on Victor Valley on Wednesday night, while Silverado (5-11-3, 0-2-1 DSL) will host Barstow.

Hesperia Christian 65, AAE 62
In Apple Valley, the Patriots recovered from an 11-point deficit in the 4th quarter to beat the Knights in Friday night’s thriller.
Hesperia Christian trailed by 15 points at halftime and went into the fourth quarter 49-38.
Jared Bragg led the way for the Patriots by dropping 30 points with 10 rebounds.
Cody New added 15 points and 9 rebounds, and Arlan Koester also had 15 points and 6 rebounds.
Hesperia Christian (7-5, 5-2) heads to Big Bear on Tuesday night.
Oak Hills 77, Burroughs 44
In Oak Hills, five players scored in double digits on Thursday with a 33-point lead over the Bulldogs in a win over the Bullros.
Kenneth Brown led the league with 13 points and four stolen bases. Monsour Sanneh scored 12 points with 7 rebounds. Isaiah Sharky also scored 12 points with his 6 rebounds. Vieux Sanneh has five rebounds and he added 11 points. Mo Rios has scored 11 points and he has 3 assists.
Oak Hills (9-10, 4-0 Mojave River League) will face The Canyon on Monday before returning to action in Serrano on Tuesday.
Hesperia 72, Apple Valley 51
In Apple Valley, Anthony Newton Gomez scored 22 points and had 7 rebounds as the Scorpions edged the Sun Devils on Thursday.
Newton Gomez made five 3-pointers. Jesse Martinez finished with 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 blocks on his double his tally.
Hesperia (13-6, 3-1 MRL) will face St. Pius X-St on Monday. Matthias Academy, and resume league play against Sultana on Tuesday.

Burroughs 51, Oak Hills 39
At Ridgecrest, the Bulldogs fell 2-2 in the Mojave River League game, losing to the Burroughs on Friday night.
Kylie Rios scored 17 points with 7 rebounds and 2 assists.
Oak Hills (7-12) hosts Serrano on Tuesday.

Granite Hills 1, Victor Valley 0
In Victorville, the Cougars earned their first victory in Friday night’s Desert Sky League game.
Zaine Rocca lifted Granite Hills up with an assist from Cesar Sainz to score in the 30th minute. Goalkeeper Aden Gallegos recorded his three saves at the net.
Granite Hills (5-11-2, 1-1-1 DSL) heads to Barstow on January 20, while Victor Valley (8-4, 2-1 DSL) returns to Adelanto on Wednesday.
Hesperia 4, Apple Valley 1
In Apple Valley, Jared Miranda scored two goals to lead the Scorpions to their third victory in Mojave River League action on Thursday.
Brandon Zavala scored with an assist. Memo Ramirez also scored. Assisted by Chris Palacios and Alan Lopez. Nate Sanchez made five saves on goal.
Hesperia (9-6-3, 3-0-1 MRL) will resume league play on Tuesday against Sultana.
Oak Hills 6, Burroughs 1
At Oak Hills, Tauji Richardson scored two goals to give the Bulldogs their second victory in the Mojave River League on Thursday.
Anderson Remus scored a goal and provided an assist for the other two. Nick Rodriguez finished with a goal and an assist. Both Ivan Vitela and Edgar Alvarez scored goals. Assisted by Ruben Rodriguez, D’Angelo Martinez and Jesús Canderas.
Oak Hills (9-5-3, 2-0-1 MRL) heads to Serrano on Tuesdays.
Sultana 1, Serrano 1
In Hesperia, the Sultans took an early lead before the Diamondbacks tied in the final minutes of Thursday night.
Steve Arévalo scored with a corner kick from Nathaniel Guzman in the opening minutes to give Sultana the lead.
Sultan held the lead until the final minute when Joshua Martin fired a rebound into the back of the net to equalize.
Serrano (8-10-1, 2-1-1 Mojave River League) will play at home to Oak Hills on Tuesday while Sultana (8-5-7, 0-0-2 MRL) heads to Hesperia.

In Apple Valley, the Cougars defeated Jackrabbits on Friday to advance 4-0 in the Desert Sky League game.
Samantha Grantham led the way to Granite Hills with goals and assists. Makenzie Bohn, Lianna Tsabur and Josie Smith each scored a goal. Sofia Tranzo has one assist. and Annaliese Castel had four saves on goal.
The Cougars (7-6-1) will return home on January 20 against Barstow.
Oak Hills 7, Burroughs 0
At Ridgecrest, Sidney Middaw and Molly Silke both scored two goals to help the Bulldogs past Barros on Thursday afternoon.
Middaugh also provided assists on two other goals.
Tacoa Castillo and Mikaela Maldanoado scored with assists. Alyssa Vernon scored the goal. Elisabeth Quillan and Rebecca Santilan provided assists respectively.
Oak Hills (5-5, 2-0 Mojave River League) will return home on Tuesday to face Serrano.
Valley of Apples 3, Hesperia 0
At Hesperia, the Sun Devils improved to 3-0 in the Mojave River League game on Thursday with a win over the Scorpions.
Goalkeeper Maya Blodgett made four saves in the shutout, while Aria Collins and Savannah James each scored a goal.
Apple Valley (9-4-1) will play Burroughs at home on Tuesday.
Serrano 0, Sultana 0
In Phelan, the Diamondbacks and Sultans ended in a draw on Thursday afternoon in the Mojave River League.
The Diamondbacks had 13 shots but couldn’t find the net. Serrano goalkeeper Ryan Muñoz made the save.
The Diamondbacks (5-7-2, 2-1-1 MRL) will face Oak Hills on Tuesday.
