MLB veteran forges mysterious link between NFL legend Tom Brady and $22.5 million transfer fee to Boston Red Sox

The Boston Red Sox had an eventful offseason to say the least. The franchise lost because his player Xander his Bogaerts decided to sign his 11-year $280 million contract. Additionally, they’ve been criticized for not trying to replace Bogaerts with another star.

They recently signed veteran infielder Justin Turner to a two-year deal reportedly worth just under $22 million. The second year of the contract is a player option. This is Red He was a great deal for the Sox, and it looks like he’s had some help in recruiting Turner from his legendary NFL coach, who has ties to Tom Brady.

You read that right! New England Patriots coach and sports legend Bill Belichick helped the Boston Red Sox sign Turner. Belichick has coached the Patriots since 2000 and with Tom Brady he has won six Super Bowl titles. While speaking to Alanna Rizzo of MLB Network, Turner confirmed that Belichick was indeed sending him a message. But he didn’t want to talk about the details.

MLB Network shared the video on Twitter, quoting: “Before signing with the Red Sox, @redturn2 got a special message from a New England sports legend 🏈”In the video Turner said: “Yeah, yeah, he did.” Therefore, it is confirmed that Belichick sent him a message. However, when asked about the details of the text, he refused to elaborate. Did I mention what you said about how great it was?

But the Red Sox have a great hitter and veteran presence in Justin Turner. It will be interesting to see what other moves the Boston-based team makes.

When the Boston Red Sox lost Bogaerts this offseason, many expected them to sign a new star player. But instead, they made Rafael Devers the centerpiece of their new franchise, signing him to a $331 million contract over 11 years.
