Did the Boston Celtics do better than they’re rated in the first half of the 2022-23 NBA season?

Both club fans and analysts have been particularly tough on the Celtics when they demonstrated some of the bad habits that led to the Golden State Warriors defeating Boston in six games of the 2022 NBA Finals.

But looking at the standings, the Celtics are one of the best teams in the league. They have topped the rankings virtually the entire season under interim head coach Joe Mazura.
