NEW YORK (AP) — Nine teammates, including All-Star pitchers Nestor Cortez and Clay Holmes, reached a one-year agreement Friday while Gleyber Torres continues to head into a salary arbitration hearing with the New York Yankees.

Torres requested a raise from $6.25 million to $10.2 million, and the Yankees offered the second baseman $9.7 million. If the two sides do not reach an agreement, a public hearing will be held next month.

Right-hander Frankie Montas agreed for $7.5 million and Cortez won $3.2 million.

Right-hander Domingo Gelman ($2.6 million), Jonathan Roisiga ($2.2625 million), Michael King ($1.3 million), Holmes ($3.3 million) and left-hander Wandy Peralta ($3.35 million) agreed. .

New York catchers Jose Trevino ($2.36 million) and Kyle Higashioka ($1,462,500) also reached an agreement.

Cortez, 28, appeared in 28 games last season and was a fan favorite with a 12-4 record and a 2.44 ERA. He earned $727,500.
