SGA has earned accolades at OKC, but second-year guard Josh Giddy is taking a leap of his own. The smooth passer has been scoring high lately and the Australian is the star of today’s NBA player his prop his pick.

While highlighting potential trade targets in tonight’s Hawks-Pacers matchup, Stephen Curry tried to keep the rust off when he took the court against the Spurs, and Josh Guiddy said he’s not going to win against the Spurs. The Bulls try to continue to provide us with value when we take the court.

Baptized Pacer
We continue to hear John Collins’ name being thrown around in trade rumors, but he doesn’t seem to let it affect his play. Playing his best basketball of the season, he’s probably adding to his value.
Collins has been playing like a familiar player in recent years after a slightly slow start to the season. Collins has averaged 18.1 points and shot 54.2% over his last eight games, and he added 9.5 rebounds per game.
Funny enough, the Pacers are one of the teams Collins is involved with. A healthy Collins could certainly help Indiana on the board, where he ranks 26th in rebounding percentage and 27th in opponent rebounds per game.
So it’s no surprise that Collins has a total of 9.5 rebounds. That number has been squeezed pretty heavily over, so instead back Collins and record a double-double for plus money.
Collins had three double-doubles in those eight games and missed three more with one or two rebounds. His one of those double-doubles came against this same Pacers team on December 27, scoring 26 points and grabbing 10 rebounds. He deserves to do so again tonight.
John Collins prop: Record a double-double (+120)
road cooking
Steph Curry returned to the Warriors’ lineup on Tuesday and saw little damage from a shoulder injury that cost him 11 games, going 5-15 from a 3-point range against the Suns. The crazy part is Steph, which means there’s still room for improvement.
That’s what I’m betting on Friday night when Curry and the Warriors take on the Spurs.
Stephen Curry may be in his 14th year of experience (it’s crazy to think), but he’s still making it rain like he was in his first year.
San Antonio doesn’t give up a ton of 3-shooters per game, but the team ranks last in the NBA in 3-point shooting percentage against opponents, and the team can sink 39.8% of its attempts. That’s a bad mark near 3 percentage points. than the next closest team.
Curry intends to use this opportunity to continue shaking off rust against teams more concerned with lottery odds than defending boundaries. So I’m going with Curry to hit 5+ 3s with plus money, something he’s accomplished in 55+% of his games this season.
steph curry props: 3 point success of 4.5 or higher (+105)
deep strike
The Thunder are a super fun basketball team built around a very intriguing young member. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Josh Giddey, and hopefully a perfectly healthy Chet Holmgren will be plenty of picks coming next season.
Tonight’s matchup against the Chicago Bulls will focus on Giddy. OKC’s standout player in his sophomore year is averaging 15.5 points and he has 7.9 rebounds this season. Giddy’s point total in this matchup Looking at his 16.5, you might think he’s lost some value. Please tell me why not.
Guiddy has taken scoring to the next level since the end of December. The OKC guard has averaged 17.7 points per game over the last 10 games and shot 49.3 percent from the floor, with 40 percent of those 3-pointers coming from his range. Now he’s getting solid matchups against a shaky Bulls defense.
The Bulls have been inconsistent since mid-December, ranking 25th in the defensive rating over the past 15 games. One of their biggest problems is protecting boundaries. They’ve given up so many three-balls lately, currently ranking him 25th in opponents’ 3-point attempts and 28th in opponents’ 3-point shooting percentage.
I wanted to take Giddy’s 3 prop for very nice plus money, but he just doesn’t take a ton of 3’s. So, I’ll stick with his points total over. It’s nearly even, and in the last 10 games he’s outscored him seven times.
josh guidy props: 16.5 points or more (-105)
