After the Atlanta Falcons season ended, head coach Arthur Smith told media outlets he believed the groundwork was being laid. Regardless, the Falcons look forward to a bright future.
One of the biggest positives to come out of the 7-10 season is that the Falcons’ offensive line has played at a higher level than expected. The Falcons’ best performance up front was right guard Chris Lindstrom.
The 2019 first-round pick earned high honors in his fourth year, becoming the only Falcon selected to play in the Pro Bowl and the only player voted as an All-Pro by the AP .
A strong play up front allowed the Falcons to finish with a third-place rushing offense averaging just under 160 yards per game. Lindstrom earned the highest overall rating of 95 among his offensive linemen in Pro Football Focus (PFF). Lindstrom was the best on the team as his blocker in the run earned a final grade of 93.1.
After a stellar fourth season, Lindstrom is entering the final year of his rookie deal. When recently asked about his contract status, the 25-year-old said he wants to spend his career in Atlanta as a member of the Falcons.
