Michael ‘Rocky’ Fielding, former WBA super-middleweight and Commonwealth super-middleweight, is 35 years old and has his gloves on.
The British boxer has announced his retirement, writing on social media:

Fielding (30-3) turned professional in October 2010 and won the Commonwealth super-middleweight title against Mohammed Akron in the third year of his professional career. After losing to fellow Liverpool native Callum Smith, “Rocky” won a split decision with John Ryder to win his British super middleweight title.
The Liverpool native challenged Tyrone Zegg for the WBA super-middleweight title in June 2018 and won by knockout.
Following his championship win, the Englishman faced Mexican boxing sensation Canelo Alvarez for his newly won WBA title. Alvarez won the match by TKO.
‘Rocky’ then went on a three-game winning streak, defeating Abdallah Pajwa Pazi, Emmanuel Danso and Timo Laing. He then faced undefeated fighter Dan Azzies for the Commonwealth and British titles in his final fight, losing by TKO.
The 35-year-old fighter spoke about fulfilling his dream of fighting at the famous Madison Square Garden and getting his name called out by famed boxing announcer Michael Buffer. In his statement he further wrote:
“I dreamed of becoming a world champion, I dreamed of Michael Buffer calling my name and fighting at Madison Square Garden.
