Missoula, Montana – The Weber State Wildcats traveled to Dahlburg Arena in Missoula on Thursday to face the Montana Grizzlies.
The Wildcats’ final game was a home loss to the Idaho State Bengals. Montana’s final game was his win on the road against Northern Colorado.
Weber State is 7-9 and looking to close the tie with a win over the Grizzlies. With his 8-8 record, Montana is looking to come back to his best record in five weeks. The Wildcats have yet to perform well this season, thanks to his four-game losing streak from late November to his early December.

The Wildcats rushed out of the gate quickly and made all three first-shot attempts, forcing the Grizzlies to a 6–0 start.

After four minutes of play, Weber State extended their lead to 9–0.

Dillon Jones broke the stalemate with a deep three as time expired in the first half.

Arnen Moody and Josh Bannan were Montana’s leading scorers. Bunnan joined his club for his 1000 points for the Grizzlies in this game and hit some tough shots along the way.

Shortly after Montana led by two points, Junior Ballard came off the floor and rolled his finger high into the glass.

With less than four minutes in regulation, Aanen Moody scored an Andone to give Montana the lead.

In a game with more than 10 lead changes, the score is tied at 52 points with 2 minutes remaining.
Josh Bannan broke the tie with a downhill layup and a foul. Bunnan missed a free throw and Junior Ballard made him pay for the mistake. Ballard drove on the other side and scored an and-one play of his own.

After reaching the free-throw line with 10 seconds remaining, Moody gave the Grizzlies a two-point lead.
Dillon Jones reached the Wildcats line on the other side and missed the first line. He made the second, giving Montana a one-point advantage.
After using the final timeout, the Grizzlies turned the ball over on the inbounds, giving Steven Verplanken Jr. a quick three in under three seconds.
