The new boxing game Undisputed finally hits Early Access later this month.
The highly anticipated game, formerly known as ESBC, will launch exclusively on Steam for PC gamers on January 31st.
It’s been confirmed that Undisputed will eventually be available on PS5 and Xbox as well.
However, early access is only available to PC players for the time being.
The Steel City Interactive developer’s press release states that Undisputed “packs a punch with stunning visuals, an innovative footwork system, and deep strategy.”
The game features over 60 different punches and includes narration from legendary referees and commentators.
Many world-class boxers appear as playable characters. These include Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder, Oleksandr Usyk, Canelo Alvarez and Katie Taylor.
Match venues range from the typical large arena to Dave Coldwell’s gym in Rotherham.
With the game in early access, players are warned to expect further changes to be made and never fully complete.
Regarding the game’s Early Access period, the developer said:
“This means that achieving certain milestones and reaching a level of quality that we feel is up to our standards, and we’ve incorporated player feedback.
“With that in mind, it may be difficult to predict exactly how long Early Access will last. We plan to add additional content and features along the way, but that will take time.”
When asked how the full version of the game will differ from Early Access, the developer said:
“This includes Career Mode, Fighter Creation Tools, additional Boxers and Venues. More details on these features will be announced along the way.”
“The Undisputed Early Access build is fun, engaging, and we look forward to hearing your feedback.
“This includes both online and offline modes, a roster of over 50 boxers, and seven venues to choose from.
“Since Undisputed is still in development, we hope that through early access we can fix bugs and improve the experience while still providing a stable and fun-to-play game.”
