The injury concern list continued to grow as the Minnesota Timberwolves lost 135-118 to the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday night.
The Timberwolves entered the game without Kyle Anderson, who was ruled out due to illness, but things took a turn for the worse when Taurean Prince rolled his ankle in the first quarter.
Anthony Edwards extended the half-time break and was ruled out at some point in the second half due to a lingering hip injury, while Rudy Gobert was upset after picking up an elbow in the third quarter.
The Timberwolves were significantly shorthanded despite having all three players back on the court, which was shown as the Pistons entered halftime with a 65–64 lead.

Detroit opened the game in the third quarter, shooting 60% from the floor and using Sadik Bey’s 31 points to build a 101-87 lead in the third quarter.
There was no reaction from the Timberwolves, who were led by Edwards’ 20 points and six assists. D’Angelo Russell had 19 points and five assists, while Gobert had 16 points and 14 rebounds. Jaden McDaniels also recorded 11 points and four assists.
Bojan Bogdanovic had 27 points and five 3-pointers on the night, Jaden Ivey had 18 points and eight assists, and Kilian Hayes had 18 points and nine assists.
After a four-game winning streak, the Timberwolves (20-22) are looking to start a new streak when they host Phoenix on Friday night.
