The UNG men’s soccer team has won the 2022 Peach Belt Conference Sportsmanship Award alongside two other league rivals.

The University of North Georgia (UNG) men’s soccer team has won the 2022 Peach Belt Conference (PBC) Sportsmanship Award alongside two league rivals. The last time the UNG men’s football program was awarded was in Spring 2021.

UNG Head Coach Dr Patrice Parris said: “Our student-athletes do a great job of holding each other accountable both on and off the field. We use football as a tool to guide and teach life lessons, so integrity and character I believe that the foundation of the will lead to victories in life.”

The United Nations Department of Sports has won a total of 26 sportsmanship awards, including three of the last four awards in men’s football. UNG, Flagler College and USC Aiken have all won men’s soccer awards this fall. His three-way tie in men’s football is the first in the awards program’s history.

After each championship season, the program awards the teams in the sport that best demonstrate the spirit of sportsmanship and generally behave with a high degree of integrity, character and grace. Team awards are chosen by other teams competing in that sport. Points are awarded based on how each team finished in the vote, and in June, the institution with the highest total wins his PBC Agency of the Year Sportsmanship Award.
