The Houston Rockets certainly aren’t in a position to make fun of their NBA West foe’s rebuilding process…no matter how fun it is to make fun of the “imposing” Los Angeles Lakers…now who they are DeMarcus I’m desperate for help as I’m opening gym doors again for Cousins.
“Boogie” will reportedly train the Lakers for a workout this week “at some point next week.”
Can you say “despair”?
The Lakers at center have juggled Anthony Davis’ injury problems with Damian Jones’ performance problems (Thomas Bryant has played well despite his own injury problems). A 10-day deal, according to NBA reporter Marc Stein.
Cousins has been sitting on the couch this season (metaphorically speaking, at least, one report claims he “exercises six days a week.”) At 32, he’s 11 years old. A veteran, Cousins was cut from the Lakers in 2020, but he was, in fact, playing for the Milwaukee Bucks last year and now being assisted by Lakers coach Durbin Hamm.
Once upon a time, a four-time All-Star Game star, Cousins, of course, played for Houston in the 2020-21 season. It was really the last time he put up decent numbers as he averaged 9.6 points and his 7.6 in his 25 games with the Rockets. He rebounds in 20.2 minutes before being released.
