Just when things felt like things were turning up for the Heat, star center Bam Adebayo left Sunday’s loss to Brooklyn with a wrist bruise that initially seemed more worrying.
He could be back soon for Tuesday’s contest, but will almost certainly not be at full strength, especially since he’s already dealt with thigh problems. These injuries are a big deal for Miami as they led the team in points (26.5), rebounds (11.0), steals (1.8), blocks (1.5) and field goal percentage (59.6%) in six games. Sunday’s contest is early.
After that brief scare, this is typical against a cheery Thunder team that has quietly won 7 of its last 11 games (7-4 ATS), including double-digit victories over the Celtics and Mavericks last week alone. Another outright win could be on the horizon Tuesday.

Warriors vs. Suns Predictions and Analysis (10pm ET on TNT)
On the surface, this has the makings of a sucker spot for the Warriors, who have been inconsistent as favorites this year. But this game really has all the ingredients of rout.
Since their 26-point win over the Lakers on December 19, the Suns are 3-7 ATS, the worst outright record (1-9) and the third worst net rating (-8.4) in the NBA. It is almost entirely due to injury. Devin Booker (groin) played all but five minutes in that 10-game stretch, while teammates Chris Paul (hip), Cameron Payne (foot), Cameron Johnson (knee), Deandre Ayton (ankle) joins Booker among eight Suns in Tuesday’s injury report.
Conversely, Stephen Curry (shoulders) looks poised to make his long-awaited return in front of a rowdy crowd at Chase Center, where the Warriors boast an NBA-best 14-6-1 ATS home record. Klay Thompson (knee) also feels like this could get worse early on as he is likely to return from a one game suspension.

Trail Blazers vs. Magic Predictions and Analysis (10 PM ET)
The Blazers have spent an inordinate amount of time away from home, playing 10 of their last 12 games away. But how are they doing when they are at home?
Portland is the third best performer in the league at home this year with a 10-5 ATS, winning the last three games at the Moda Center by 61 combined points and extending their ATS run by six games. Leading scorer Damien Lillard has been particularly lethal at home this year, posting a whopping 38.1% 3-shooting percentage and 95% of his line from free throws.
The Magic have won some big road games this season, but have dropped 14 of 19 road games (8-8-3 ATS) after Monday’s 25-point loss in Sacramento. . Tuesday’s test will not be so easy.
