Sauerland, who made a name for himself by facilitating large-scale bouts between established boxers, faced criticism that crossover events lacked sporting merit, as well as the relationship between newcomer boxers and skilled opponents. “The idea is to create a stable of these young men and women that match each other. It’s a trend.”
