With their playoff hopes in jeopardy, the Lions and Packers gear up for what could be a ‘head-to-head’ showdown on Sunday Night Football.
The Lions could be eliminated from postseason contention before the ball is kicked in Green Bay, and the Rams need to beat the Seahawks to survive in the NFC playoff race. If Los Angeles can beat Seattle, it will be a winner-takes-all Sunday night game.
Whatever happens in the West, Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ mission is simple: win a ticket to the playoffs.
Green Bay are on a four-game winning streak, coming from a 4-8 start. A win would complete an unlikely comeback for the current NFL MVP and his young teammates.

The Lions put together a run of their own later this season to stay in the postseason hunt. The team led by Dan Campbell started from his first year to his sixth, but winning seven of his next nine games gave him a dream of a postseason appearance in Detroit for the first time since 2016. was born.

He easily blew out the Packers offensive his lineman, Yosh Naiman. Rodgers lost the ball at the end of play, but he was ruled. To be honest, I’m not sure about that call…it could have been a miss. However, no reviews or coach challenges are scheduled.

8:50 pm — The Packers offense resumes and the drive begins with a long pass from Rogers to Watson, who gains 25 yards.

20:45 field goal — Goff fails to connect with Kalif Raymond, forcing a field goal attempt. Michael Badley hits it off and ties things together. A costly turnover on downs by Green Bay translates into his 3-pointer for Detroit.
8:43 p.m. — Amon La St. Brown makes the first catch of the night to move to the edge of the red zone. After that, it was the third time and the ninth time.
8:40 PM Turnover On Down — LaFleur plays very aggressively, trying to get it from his 30-yard line. Rodgers hands it to Lazard on the end-around, but he drags in for a 1-yard loss! The Lions will take over in great field position!
8:38 pm — Rodgers takes the field again, completing a pass to Randall Cobb on 2nd down, setting up 3rd and 1. But Jones, he’s crammed to the line on 3rd down!Matt LaFleur looks like he could go for it on 4th down.

20:31 field goal — Mason Crosby chipped to give Green Bay an early lead.
8:28 pm — third from inside the Lions’ 5-yard line and a goal after two inside runs that went nowhere. Rogers rolls to the right and looks for someone to throw. It looks like he’s thinking of running it, but last season he fired one shot out of the end zone and was incomplete.
8:26 p.m. — Rodgers starts one deep downfield to Allen Lazard after a pass to Christian Watson gains another 13 yards. It falls incompletely, but the flag flutters. It turned out to be his pass interference defensively, giving Green Bay his first and goal. A 46-yard penalty to Jerry Jacobs in the Detroit corner.
8:24 p.m. — Aaron Jones rushes 9 yards down the left on the second play from scrimmage. He and his fellow running back AJ Dillon will be important for the Packers on the offense tonight.
8:23 p.m. – please. Lions kick it off to start the game. Can the Packers win and secure their fourth straight playoff spot?

7:36 p.m. — Let’s see what’s still at stake tonight after the game in Seattle. However, a win by the Lions would dash Green Bay’s playoff dreams and the final spot in the NFC Wild Card would go to the Seahawks instead. Detroit hopes dashed!
7:32 p.m. — Myers connects from 32 yards to win over the Seahawks and end the Lions’ playoff hopes before playing tonight’s snap. Lost in Detroit.
7:30 PM — Seattle put it in the red zone. Detroit’s playoff hopes are once again hanging by a thread. Lions need a small miracle to stay alive.
7:25 p.m. — The Seahawks go 3-and-out on the first drive of overtime, but an interception by Baker Mayfield quickly returns the ball to Seattle. A field goal wins the game and eliminates the Lions.
7:16 p.m. — Jason Myers has a chance to beat Seattle and eliminate the Lions with a 46-yard kick…but that’s not a good thing! The Lions are still alive! Incredible drama!
7:10 p.m. — The Rams had just had a shot to take the lead in the two-minute drill, but it went three-and-out. I have. There are no timeouts and he has less than a minute left.
