Omaha, Nebraska — The 25th-ranked Clayton women’s basketball team continues its three-game homestretch against Marquette on Sunday, Jan. 8, in a contest televised on CBS Sports Network.

Currently a fringe team in the NCAA Tournament, Marquette is one of the second best defensive teams in the BIG EAST, holding their opponents to 57.9 ppg.

Sr. Jordan King leads the Golden Eagles offense in the Big East with 15.1 points and 16.2 points. Marquette’s other two main players are averaging double figures, Chloe he’s 13.4 ppg for Marotta and 12.1 ppg for Liza Karen.

Marquette has held opponents to just 37.5% off the field this season and limited the team to 31.1% across the arc.

Earlier in the non-conference season, Marquette had wins over Texas and Gonzaga, and came to Omaha after a 72–63 win over DePaul on January 4.
