Buffalo Bills offensive tackle Dion Dawkins almost couldn’t contain his excitement when asked how it felt to see Dumar Hamlin again during the team’s Friday morning video call.

“We got a boy!!! That’s all that matters! We got a boy! An excited Dawkins said in a phone call with reporters Friday afternoon.” The excitement was beautiful and wonderful, it gave us so much energy, so bright and cheery, whatever you want to call it, it gave us to see that boy’s face It was all about seeing him smile, watching him do this[flexing his biceps]on camera.”

“And hearing him talk to us was everything, and that was what we needed. Literally, that’s all we needed.”

Dawkins described the emotions of the past week as “a roller coaster you’ve never been on before.”

Dawkins says, “In a short, dramatic period of time, you go from being the saddest you can really feel to being the happiest you can feel.” It’s the saddest thing of all.”

“It’s far from over, but the good thing about it is that it’s positive energy for the roller coaster you want to call it. You could see #3 (Hamlin) smile. He said I Being here with us, all we can ask is that he’s moving forward.”

“It’s still very emotional for a lot of people. We are happy. We are blessed and very grateful,” Dawkins added.

When asked about Hamlin’s Toy Drive Foundation, which has donated over $7 million, Dawkins emphasized:
