High School Soccer: Parkway Men’s and Women’s, Houghton Men’s Win in District 1-II

The Parkway boys and girls and the Houghton boys kicked off their District 1-II game Thursday night with a win.

In the men’s game, Parkway beat North DeSoto 4-1 at North DeSoto and Horton defeated Minden 8-2 at Minden.

The Parkway Girls defeated Minden 6-1 at Bobby Marlowe Field at Preston Crownover Stadium.

In the out-of-district men’s match, the airline lost 3-2 to Loyola at Mesmer Stadium.

In the non-district women’s game, Benton lost 5-0 to Loyola at MD Rayfield at Airline Stadium.

In North DeSoto, Brasen Teutsch and Nolan Dean scored two goals each to give Parkway the lead.

Sean Jackson, Dean, Tucci and Ryder Trant all provided assists.

North DeSoto fell to 4-9.

Parkway (8-3-1) visits Loyola on Saturdays at 10am.

At Minden, Jose Montes scored three goals to give Houghton the lead.

Jacob Wood and Abdul Zidane each scored twice. Carter Everb had it.

Carlos Obregón, Johan Roche, Hudson Culver, and Braden Hardy were cited for their all-around efforts.

Minden fell to 3-7-1.

Horton (7-5-1) will perform Calvary Baptiste at Preston Crownovers on Saturday at 12:45pm.

Emma Alvarado scored 5 goals in the Parkway Girls win.

Cameron Dunn had 3 assists and 1 goal. Isabel Bright has two assists and Marie Smith has one.

Aubri Dupre made 5 saves.

Parkway (5-5) will host Evangel Christian on Friday 6th. Minden she fell 4-8.

The airline boys fell to 3-8-1. Viking visits Captain Shreve on his January 12th. Loyola improved to his 5-9-1.

The Benton girls fell to 9-6-2. The Lady Tigers will play Texas High on Airline on her 6th Friday. Loyola improved to 9-1-3.
