The New York Mets have remained quiet about contract negotiations with Carlos Correa since the player’s physical concerns were raised, but SNY’s Andy Martino Updated Thursday:

In June 2014, the 28-year-old required arthroscopic surgery to repair his fractured right fibula when he was 19 and still in the minor leagues with Houston. The Astros said at the time that Correa’s fracture was closer to his ankle than his knee. A plate was inserted to stabilize his leg.
In eight seasons in the major leagues, Correa has never been on the injured reserve list because of his leg.
