  • Munaf Manji has a pair of player props for tonight’s two marquee NBA matchups.
  • He backs Christian Wood against the Celtics before betting Nikola Jokic against the Clippers.
  • Check out his picks and analysis below.

The NBA schedule features four games on Thursday night. This includes national televised coverage between the Boston Celtics visiting Dallas with his Mavericks and the Los Angeles Clippers visiting Denver with his Nuggets. There are many player props that can be cashed out. I’ve included two of my favorite picks tonight.

NBA player props and picks

Christian Wood, over 18.5 points (-115)

expansion Celtics -3

best line point bet

The Mavericks decided to start Christian Wood on December 17th.th vs the Cleveland Cavaliers. Since then, the Mavericks have gone on to his 6-2 record, but more importantly, Wood has been a consistent basketball scorer for the Mavericks. He is averaging 19.7 points, 8.2 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game over this span.

He also increased his minutes per game to 32.2. As a result, Wood scored 19 or more points in his fifth straight game with the Mavericks. He scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in his previous game against the Celtics this season, so this should be a favorable spot for him.

If the Celtics’ game plan is to double-team Luka Doncic tonight, that should open up more opportunities for Wood. Wood points his props he carries over to 19.5.

Nikola Jokic, 11.5+ rebounds (-125)

best line fan duel

I’m zoning in on two-time MVP Nikola Jokic to clear the glass tonight.

Jokic continues to dominate the floor and fill the stat sheet. However, in his six straight games with the Clippers, he has had 13 or more rebounds, highlighting his dominance on the Grass against the Clippers.

Earlier this season, Jokic had 13 rebounds in just 32 minutes against the Clippers. Additionally, the Clippers allowed him nearly 44 rebounds per game, which ranks him 17th in the NBA.

The Clippers, in particular, have a hard time keeping their opponents’ bigs off the grass as they allow opposing centers to average 14 rebounds per game. The line is a bit conservative for him at 11.5 rebounds, but he likes it up to 12.5 rebounds.
