Soccer Program Wins Sportsmanship, Academic Awards

Snow College’s men’s and women’s football programs have won several awards from the 2022-23 and 2021-22 seasons.

Both the men’s and women’s teams were awarded team academic awards for the 2021-22 season. The men’s team won the award with a cumulative team GPA of 3.27 and the women’s team won the award with a cumulative GPA of 3.63. The award was given to 822 teams across all levels of collegiate football that achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher during the 2021-22 academic year.

Additionally, the women’s team was awarded the 2022 Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award at the Bronze level. This award recognizes teams that demonstrate fair play, sporting conduct, and adherence to the rules of the game as reflected by the number of yellow warning cards or red ejection cards.

A total of 117 men’s and women’s teams won Platinum, Gold, Silver or Bronze awards. The Bronze tier is awarded to teams with a card percentage of 31-50%. This is determined by the total number of cards received divided by the total number of games played. A total of 6 cards in 16 games he played 38% of the time, with 55 teams winning bronze, including the Badgers.

The men’s team finished the season 12-5 and 8-3 in the Scenic West Athletic Conference. He won the 2022 Region 18 Conference Tournament title, 3-2, by defeating high-ranking Salt Lake Community College.

The women’s team finished the season with a 13-2-1 overall record and a 9-1-1 record within SWAC to clinch the regular season conference title. The Badgers won her nine straight and finished the regular season with the title. Snow College were also undefeated in eight games played at home.
