— Three Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s soccer programs have been honored with Team Ethics & Sportsmanship Awards for the 2022 season from United Soccer Coaches.
The University of Wisconsin-Platteville won silver and UW-Eau Claire and UW-Stevens Point won bronze. This award recognizes teams that demonstrate fair play, sporting conduct and adherence to the rules of the game. This is reflected by the number of yellow caution cards or red ejection cards shown by referees during the season. This is the number of games played for the number of cards accumulated.
Teams accumulating a percentage of cards in the 11-30% range will be awarded a silver medal, and teams accumulating a percentage of cards in the 31-50% range will be awarded a bronze medal.
