As the new year begins, three local teams sit at the top of the LHSAA Prep Soccer Power Rankings.

In the men’s division, Ben Franklin leads the Division II power rankings, with Archbishop Rummel a close second.

Newman is 1st in Division IV and St. Charles Catholic is 4th.

Baton Rouge Catholics top the Division 1 rankings, with Mandeville in fourth.

University Lab is 1st in Division III and Willow School is 5th, the highest ranked area team.

In the women’s division, Archbishop Hannan is the top-ranked team in Division III, with Lutcher in third.

St. Joseph’s Academy is 1st in Division I, St. Scholastica is 4th, and Northshore is 5th.

St. Thomas More leads Division II, with Lakeshore the sixth-placed top area team.

Loyola Prep is 1st in Division IV, Pope John Paul II is 4th, and McGehee is 5th.
