Florida Hoops start 2023 without support at USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll

[ad_1]

A narrow 61-58 loss to Auburn in Florida on Wednesday didn’t help the Gators in the latest USA TODAY sports coaches poll update as the team once again finished without a vote.

Meanwhile, the Tigers climbed three spots to No. 20 after their victory, becoming one of six SEC teams ranked in the Week 9 update. Alabama holds the top spot in the conference, while Tennessee ranks him ninth in the rankings, placing him seventh overall.

Arkansas moves up next in the standings at No. 13 after dropping six places after losing to LSU on Wednesday. Speaking of the Tigers in Baton Rouge, LSU is just outside the top 25 with his 35 points. After playing against Texas A&M and Georgia this week, this is good news for Florida, as the Gators have just over a week to go against the Tigers.

After defeating Illinois and Kentucky to close out the year, Missouri made the biggest jump among the top 25 teams this week, rising 10 places in the polls. The Wildcats have maintained his 25th share of the polls despite dropping eight places after the loss.
