With the 2023 MLB season still months away, YouTube TV subscribers who love the MLB network may need to start looking for other providers. YouTube TV announced today that it will not renew its contract with the baseball channel and will cease broadcasting from today.
In an email sent to subscribers, YouTube TV said it was in negotiations to renew its contract with MLB Network, and after “working hard”, “couldn’t reach an agreement.” . MLB Network content will be removed from the streaming service starting today, January 31st. Since the channel will be deleted, you will no longer have access to any library recordings you previously had.
But this may not be the end. YouTube TV reveals they have ongoing conversations about carrying the MLB network, which could happen in the future.

Hello Kellen,
We have been working hard to renew our contract with MLB Network to continue delivering content on YouTube TV. However, no agreement could be reached and as of today, January 31, 2023, MLB Network content will no longer be available on YouTube TV. You will also lose access to previous library recordings for this channel. Members can continue to watch select domestic MLB games via FOX, ESPN, and TBS coverage through the Basic Plan. We also give you the flexibility to suspend or cancel your membership at any time.
We apologize for this news. We will continue our dialogue with MLB and advocate on your behalf in hopes of restoring content on YouTube TV.
