Week 16 of the fantasy basketball season is upon us. Like every Monday, we analyze a few players who are registered under 50% of him in the Yahoo Fantasy Basketball League.
But before we get into this week’s waiver pickups, here are the games each team will be playing in Week 16.
4 games: 16 teams (76ers, Hawks, Hornets, Kings, Knicks, Lakers, Magic, Nuggets, Pelicans, Pistons, Raptors, Suns, Timberwolves, Trail Blazers, Warriors, Wizards)
3 games: 12 teams (Bucks, Bulls, Cavaliers, Clippers, Grizzlies, Heat, Mavericks, Nets, Pacers, Rockets, Spurs, Thunder)
Two games: 2 teams (Celtics and Jazz)
Now that you know which team to target for streaming, let’s move on to pickup.
Priority ads for shallow leagues (10 teams or less):
Immanuel Quickley – PG/SG, New York Knicks (44% registered)
If Quickley is quickly dropped after a few nights off, he’s worth scooping up. transitions between
He’s had at least 16 points and five rebounds in his last two games, and has three consecutive steals. He’s been making his 50% efficient off the field with his two triples per game this past month, which also helps with assists. With four games ahead of him for the Knicks, Quickley is a worthy addition.
Jeremy Sochan – PF, San Antonio Spurs (39% registered)
Let’s pick up wherever So-chan is.
He’s been in the Top 100 (92nd) in the past two weeks, averaging 18.8 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.0 3s, 0.8 stocks and a 47/59/89 shooting split. His offensive game continues to improve, and that’s evident after dropping his career-high 30 points (8 rebounds and 5 assists) in Saturday night’s loss to the Suns.
He played nearly 30 minutes a night in January, a trend that should continue into the second half of the season.
Dennis Schroeder – PG/SG, Los Angeles Lakers (37% registered)

He’s cooled off a bit this week, and while he finished 154th in value per game, it’s worth grabbing if you want points, rebounds and steals from guard positions in Week 16. .
At worst, he’ll be a good streaming option for the Lakers’ B2B set on Monday and Tuesday.
Deep League (12+) Priority Ads:
Dorian Finney Smith – SF/PF, Dallas Mavericks (32% registered)
The Mavs forward has scored a lot of minutes since returning from injury on January 18, and it’s paying off. He’s been a reliable source of 3s, points, rebounds and steals while he’s ranked 70th in value per game over the past two weeks.
He also stuffed last week’s stat sheet, averaging 13.7 points, 8.7 rebounds, 3.0 assists, 2.7 threes and 1.3 steals, finishing 34th in value per game. The Jazz are rumored to have a keen interest in acquiring his services, But for now, fantasy managers have to add him to the 12+ team league due to the recent surge in production.
Adding a middle tier:
Patrick Williams – SF/PF, Chicago Bulls (38% registered)
Williams ranks 86th in total money this season thanks to their productivity over the past two weeks. He ranks 54th in terms of value per game for that period after averaging 13.2 points, 6.4 rebounds, 1.4 assists, 1.6 threes, 1.2 steals and 1.0 blocks over his last five games.
He’s currently playing basketball’s best stretch with ease, shooting 49% from the field, 43% from 3, and 86% from the line, with a 62% shooting percentage in January. He’s one of many Bulls players rumored to be in trade talks, but given his recent play, Fantasy’s manager should be happy to have him on board.
Alec Burks – PG/SG/SF, Detroit Pistons (31% registered)
The NBA trade deadline is next Thursday, and Burks is one of the few veterans on a young Pistons team who could audition for a potential trade. It will continue into week 16.
He posts consecutive 20-point performances while hitting at least three triples in each game. Most notably, he started in both of those games, so pick him up in the points and his H2H league if he continues to run in the starter.
Short term but worth a look:
Deni Avdija – SF/PF, Washington Wizards (31% registered)
Rui Hachimura Being traded to the Lakers was the pinnacle for Avdija’s fantastic prospects. He has recorded his two double-doubles and is averaging 13.3 points, 9.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 2.0 steals over the last three games.
He’s coming off the bench and even if he’s benefiting Kristaps PorzingisAn absence from the past week puts him in a position to play at least 20-25 minutes per night in both forward positions. The Wizards still have his four games this week, so Avdija still has streaming appeal in Week 16, even though Porzingis is due to return on Monday.
Drew Eubanks – C, Portland Trail Blazers (13% registered)
Eubanks is worth streaming in a 12-team league because of his ability to block shots for a limited amount of time. Sure, he underwhelmed Saturday night, finishing with seven points and three rebounds, but he also hit two shots.
Yusuf Nurkic (calf pain) is listed as suspect on Monday, so Eubanks could get another starting chance if Nurk isn’t ready to play. Either way, Eubanks has held blocks in his 10-game streak, and in that span he’s posted 1.9 blocks per game. Portland is also another team in Week 16 where he has four games.

Tari Eason – SF/PF, Houston Rockets (26%)
Donte DiVincenzo – PG/SG – Golden State Warriors (25%)
Hamidou Diallo – SG/SF, Detroit Pistons (10%)
Kenyon Martin Jr. – SF/PF, Houston Rockets (21%)
Patrick Beverley – PG/SG, Los Angeles Lakers (11%)
Lois O’Neal, SG/SF, Brooklyn Nets (41%)
Daniel Gafford – C, Washington Wizards (46%)
