While much of the betting world has been glued to the flood of Super Bowl lines and props hitting the market, Monday’s NBA betting list is still worth betting on.

Last week’s NBA picks and predictions were hit and miss, but there’s a lot to love about the board, with two underdogs making headlines for inconsistent favourites, who don’t get enough respect from the oddsmakers. .

Nets vs. Lakers Predictions and Analysis (7:40 pm ET, NBA TV)

I knew this line was going to get out of control the moment the Lakers announced that both LeBron James (ankle) and Anthony Davis (foot) would be ruled out of Monday’s contest. Despite the injury problem, we treat it as a big favorite.

The big problem, obviously, is the absence of Kevin Durant (knee), who has missed the team’s last nine games and won’t be back anytime soon. Unsurprisingly, the Nets have lost his 6 of those 9 games outright (4-5 ATS), and in that span he has the 9th worst Nets rating in the NBA (-1.8). and even worse than the Lakers (-0.2) on the same stretch.

Brooklyn may not have Ben Simmons (knee), who missed Saturday’s game and has played less than 30 minutes in four of his last five games. The Nets have only once won by more than seven points since they lost Durant.

Thunder vs. Warriors Predictions and Analysis (8:10 PM ET)

The matchup has impacted some of the best betting trends across the league, making an already attractive place for the Thunder even more attractive.

Going into Monday, Oklahoma City possessed the league’s best ATS record (31-17-1) and the second-best mark for an underdog (24-11-1 ATS), playing 17 of those 36 games. outright won (47.2%). The Thunder also owns his fourth-best ATS record at home (16-9), and in six of his eight recent games at home he’s trailed by double digits. I am winning.

The Warriors have the worst bet in the league (7-16 ATS) and the 7th worst net rating (-6.4) in their place. These teams are only one game away from him in the Western standings. OKC hopes to keep serve in this game and build on his stellar home run as a dog.

Spurs vs. Wizards Prediction and Analysis (8:10 PM ET)

Even if the Wizards go on a five-game winning streak and win on Monday, I hesitate to score that many points. But we can’t ignore how bad the Spurs were last month.

San Antonio, already the worst team in the NBA by Net Rating (-8.6) heading into the new year, has gotten even worse since the calendar flipped in 2023. He’s trailing by 11.9 points per 100 possessions, the worst in the league, and he’s on a five-game losing streak this week.

These five losses averaged 16.4 points. San Antonio has lost by 6 points or more in 9 of his 14 games in January. With leading scorer Kristaps Porzingis (ankle) set to return to his already-enthusiastic Wizards squad on Monday, this game doesn’t seem close either.
