Reno, NV (KOLO) – The Super Bowl is one of the biggest gambling events of the year. As more states legalize mobile sports betting, casinos are seeing more and younger bettors.

Atlantis Casino Sportsbook Management Operator Matthew Teixera said:

“The whole casino is just buzzing.”

It’s not the money that attracts more bettors than ever, it’s the ease of betting.

“A new wave of new gamblers, they’re all coming in with mobile apps and betting from home,” Teixera said.

Online sports betting has exploded in popularity in recent years as Americans spend billions in the comfort of their living rooms.

Atlantis Communications Manager Joel Villanueva said:

When young bettors start using mobile phones, it frees up some space in casinos.

“Since people are betting from home, the lines to place bets are a little less,” Terixera said.

But for those who watch the match in person, it’s more than just a bet.

“Have fun with family and friends and enjoy cool drinks and delicious meals,” said Villanueva.

Atlantis Casino will host the Big Bowl Bash at the Super Bowl on February 12, 2023.
