FIFA has suspended four Uruguayan players for incidents at the World Cup. Fernando Muslera and Jose María Jimenez have been suspended for four games.
Meanwhile, Diego Godin and Edinson Cavani were suspended for one game.
The quartet received a ban after being involved in a heated post-match scene after their victory over Ghana. Uruguay were knocked out of the tournament due to the scoreline, even though he won the match 2-0.

Multiple players confronting match referee
Uruguay’s players were furious with match referee Daniel Sievert in the closing stages of their game against Ghana.

Cavani protested further to the referee. The 35-year-old forward called for Sievert to go to jail in a post-World Cup interview.
