MLB has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Top 100 Prospects list for the 2023 season. While many teams are picking one or two of his prospects, the Dodgers had seven future stars on their list.
Here are all the Dodgers prospects who made the list and where they landed.
No. 14 – C Diego Cartaya
No. 24 – RHP Bobby Miller
No. 37 – INF Miguel Vargas
No.54 – 2B Michael Bush
No. 56 – RHP Gavin Stone
No. 70 – RHP Ryan Peppiot
No. 81 – OF Andy Pages
The Dodgers’ farm system has always seemed to be overloaded, and this year is no exception. Outside of Cartaya, all six could make an impact on this year’s roster.
Cartaya is currently the #1 overall prospect for the Dodgers and is expected to be unprepared for several seasons. However, when he does, he will have a significant impact on the Dodgers organization.
Then there’s Miller, who has a chance of reaching the big leagues this season. The hard-hitting right-hander is one of the most highly regarded prospects in the team’s organization and should make a big impact on this team sooner or later.
Then there’s Vargas, who many Dodgers fans are already familiar with. He played and did not play late last season, but earned a spot on the postseason roster.
Both Bush and Paige are players the Dodgers are very excited about. Neither will be on the Opening Day roster, but there’s a good chance we’ll see at least one this season, and one or both could be used in a potential mid-season trade.
And Stone and Pepiot. Stone has skyrocketed through the ranks of prospects, and many in baseball think he could make a big impact on teams this season. He is in the starting line-up and is likely to step in first if someone in the rotation is injured.
The Dodgers were the second most promising team behind the Baltimore Orioles. But last season he went 83-79 with the Orioles and his 111-51 record with the Dodgers. It’s almost unfair how good the Dodgers are at producing talent.
